I am a writer of novels for adults and young people. My novels include The Year I Lived Twice, a YA time-slip novel, for which I received a Reader’s Favorite Award in 2024, and Soul Shadows, a spooky tale about shadows that come to life, shortlisted for the Falkirk Red Book Award.

My novels span a range of genres, including crime, time travel, science fiction, surrealism, romance and horror. If they have a unifying theme, they are all mysteries of one sort or another.

I am a regular author for Fiction Express, online publishers of interactive stories for schools, read by, I’m told, 1.2 million pupils in over 8,500 schools around the world. Two of my stories have won reader awards.

In my other life, I write non-fiction for children, covering subjects as diverse as sharks, robots, asteroids, flying reptiles, acne and chocolate – sadly not all in the same book. In 2021, I was proud to win the prestigious ASE award for my non-fiction book Think Like a Scientist.
